No. Once the frame is connected to WiFi, photos arrive automatically. The recipient doesn't need to press anything, download anything or create an account.
How many people can send photos to the same frame?
As many as you like. Simply share the frame's @mypixstar.com email address with family and friends. Each person sends photos from their own device.
Does the frame work without WiFi?
Yes. The internal memory (8 or 16 GB depending on the model) continues to display stored photos even when WiFi is disconnected. You can also add photos via USB or SD card without any internet connection.
How long does setup take?
Under 3 minutes. Plug in, connect to WiFi, and send your first photo. The frame is ready to receive photos immediately after connecting.
Can I manage the frame remotely for my elderly parent?

The frame housing is made from high-impact ABS polymer with a matte finish, giving it a premium, timeless look that fits any interior. The slim bezel (34–50 mm depending on the model) maximises the visible display area.

IPS display panel

All Pix-Star frames use In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology — the same panel type found in professional monitors. IPS delivers accurate colours, sharp contrast (up to 1200:1) and wide viewing angles (170°) so photos look great from any position in the room.

Anti-glare screen coating

The display is treated with a multi-layer anti-reflective coating that reduces glare by up to 85%, making photos clearly visible even in bright, sunny rooms — without washing out colours.

4:3 aspect ratio — unique

From the frame's home screen, go to Settings → WiFi. Select your network and enter your password. The frame supports 2.4 GHz networks (all models) and 5 GHz (LUX 10" and LUX 17" only). The 15" model only supports 2.4 GHz.
My frame won't connect to WiFi
Check that your network is 2.4 GHz (not 5 GHz if you have the 15" model). Make sure the password is correct — WiFi passwords are case-sensitive. Restart your router. If the problem persists, try forgetting the network on the frame and reconnecting.
How do I reset my frame?
Go to Settings → System → Factory Reset on the frame. Your cloud photos are safely stored and will be restored automatically after reconnecting to WiFi. Local photos stored on the frame's internal memory will be deleted.
I've lost my frame — are my photos safe?
Yes. All photos sent via email or the app are stored in your free cloud account. Simply get a new frame, log in to your account on pix-star.com, and all your albums will restore automatically.
Can the frame display vertical photos?
Yes. The frame can be rotated to portrait orientation and will display vertical photos in full. The frame detects its orientation automatically and adjusts the display accordingly.
What should I do if my frame is defective?
Contact our support team via the contact form. Register your frame first if you haven't already. We'll arrange a free replacement under the 2-year warranty.
